Spotted this on eBay.
Got me baffled, can anyone explain what’s going on here?

So possibly water has dislodged and repositioned the text.
Thanks that makes sense.

 

Somebody tried to clean the dial and then went "Whoops!".

 

I feel like I'm looking at a bowl of alphabet soup.

I rather like the "alphabet soup" feature of the dial. Very creative & superior to a crappy redial.

 

I wonder what the movement looks like...

It's almost like some of the letters are duplicated though, and smaller? It's kind of bizarre.

 

That's the rare MEGA signed version.

 

It’s amazing how far those letters migrated. Would the smaller ones be from the Chronometer printed under Omega?
