Curious: Anyone know of count down chronos or watches with tally tickes?

As someone who frequents the gym, lifting heavy stuff and then putting it back down again, I find the idea of a watch made for non-runners interesting. I get the impression that counting down is something the digital world offers, but not the analogue. I've yet to see any mechanical watches do anything remotely interesting for a power lifter.

Of course there are work-arounds, like using the bezel of a dive watch to count sets if you're really tired and you're starting to lose count. Still, out of curiousity, it would be cool to know if there actually are count-down chronographs out there, or watches with some sort of tally ticker (like they use to count the number of people in a club or other venue)?

Yes certainly there are count down watches available. The Rolex Yacht-Master II (fugly beyond imagination IMO), and the Glashütte Original Panoretrograph are the first 2 that pop into my mind as I read your post...

Not exactly gym watches though, but I'm sure there are others out there.

    Cheers, Al
