looking, well the title says it all: I need a replacement crystal for my Omega Sensorquartz calibre 1640 and case number 186.0011.

Managed to restore the case, touch sensor and disassembled the movement for a cleaning. Works perfect but no crystal!

Cheers, Geoff in Vancouver

Hovigs is an excellent source to finding crystals. I managed to find a PZ5022 when it wasn't available anywhere else.

Have you reached out to them? They might source you one. You can also try ST Supply. But I have never ordered from them.

One point, don’t know if it was the previous installer, but the old crystals did not press out without cracking. If they did, you could polish them and reinstall using the same gasket.

I have removed pressed in crystals on many, many Seikos and some other Omegas but these two Sensorquartz crystal removals resulted int the destruction of the crystal

Polishing in place may be an option as the crystal is very slightly raised (protruding) to the surrounding bezel.

Another option is to have a generic crystal cut to the correct shape and then create a reverse transfer to apply to the inside of the glass. That was the option I was looking at before I found the last two at Hovigs.

Thanks....my last attempt at polish failed miserably. The crystal is not horrible...just trying to restore it as much as possible.

Sorry..another question...When you removed the old crystal you had indicated the crystal cracked but the gasket is re-usable? I have access to a crystal from the gold plated model but would like to swap out the yellow gasket for the black. Also the face cover that says omega and has the function wording is a loose piece within the case?
