hi everyone im new to the forums and would like your advice.
My son has inherited his grandfathers omega automatic de ville but the crown is missing,
The id on the back is 166033 and i believe it a movement the come out from the front.
Can anyone help me id and source a replacement crown, i think it just pushes in through the case.
    Thanks

Hi mate, also a new member here, welcome!

According to Ofrei who sell replacement crowns, for this case back you need Omega Reference - ST42051/42524 Steel, which apparently has been updated to ST42524. (refer this link for reference - http://www.ofrei.com/page_147.html).

Hope this helps, other members might be able to give you something more certain.

43201 is the reference for the crown.

Many possible crowns, as there are several omega crowns that have the same basic dimensions. They might differ slightly in style, but functionally they should all be good.

Needs to have the female and maybe male stem parts too? Usually with these the male stem part is still in the movement.

Thanks for the responses, I gather from what I have read elsewhere that if I can identify the correct crown it should just push in through the case to fit

Well yes, but you gotta make sure the inside and outside stem lines up.

How can you line them up if there's a possibility the movement can move out of position?

Yes but the other end of the stem must be inside the watch still, the part I show has to line up with the other side of the stem that should be still inside the watch, Can you see it in there?
This photo hopefully shows how a split stem works, the two pieces need to clip together and should be done by someone who knows what they are doing ideally.
