Crown problem

Good afternoon,
I recently purchased this gold Omega watch, and I am pleased with the way it looks.
however, I cannot wind it up. When I turn the crown, the hands only adjust. Even when the crown is pushed in to the maximum. Does this mean the stem is too short? Or can there be something else? Once in a while when I turn the crown it winds, but just for one or two turns. My apologies for my english, hope I made myself clear.
Thanks in advance.

You need a service including a new mainspring.

Yes, very possible that the stem is too short.

The mainspring seems fine, because once in a few times it clicks in and turns the spring.

How/where can I find the right size stem?

You buy a stem for the movement and cut it to the correct length.

For start. Take it to watchmaker. There can be few things and it is better that somebody take look at it before you start to buy parts

Thank you. I will just search for a stem that fits on the caliber, or will ask a watchmaker to take a look.

Little trick a watchmaker showed me was. Take foil from a cig. pack. Little pieces rolled into a ball and drop down the crown tube and use stem to compact it and test fit.

Add whats needed until the crown sits out far enough

Other choice as mentioned is buy another stem.

Buy based on the caliber number
