Curious about something, what makes it a Paul Newman dial?

it has the same dial as a paul newman rolex daytona. Singer made the dial for this watch, as well as rolex.

What Paul Newman dial is the same as this one? Do you have more information for this watch like model and movement?

Well, I see the resemblance except the Daytona had 3 subdials and,no red quarter mark and... Ok not the same dial but there is a similar DNA there somewhere.

"Paul Newman" dial manufactured by Singer (the same company that manufactured
dials for the legendary Rolex Daytona). Reverse panda "T Swiss Made T" dial with 5-minute
regatta countdown and inner white track with tachymetre and telemetre displays.
Singer made these dials on lucien piccard, vulcain, nivada, croton. google has lots of links.
Valjoux cal. 7733 manual-winding chronograph, recently serviced 2 months ago, winds like butter
All stainless steel diver's case; 38mm (excluding the original crown and pushers)

These are often still referred to as PN dials - but in this case it means 'Pseudo Newman' ! Here is mine for example

I prefer the OP's though - nice watch...

I see. It's the style of the sub-dial, not the whole dial. Both watches are nice. Thanks.

I have a Nivada Chronomaster "Newman" dialed
I have done lots of reading, but I have never been able
to confirm(like with a picture or something) that these
dials were made by Singer. I hope they were. Anyone
have any hard evidence they were made by Singer
    that they can share?

they are, you have to pop the dial off and look for the singer stamp on the back...should be there on your Nivada for sure.

oh and dibs if you ever sell :)
