I was recently "scammed" on "On The Dash". There seems to be a large number of scammers constantly posting and frequenting the forum with deals that seem to good to be true.

Bottom line is that there are scammers at large so folks beware. Always ask for a name an address and a landline phone number, references and a tagged photo. Don't forget to check it all out on google maps and white pages and forums. Nothing wrong with being bold and making a call to the number provided.

Ensure you have done a proper due diligence before releasing your cash and always pay with paypal if in doubt ! They are getting smarter but there are many things you can do to ensure the transaction goes smoothly. Fortunately I did and paypal got to the cash in time. and dont forget that old saying ...

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is ... :cautious:

Glad you used Paypal and they were able to help.

Care to share the name that the scammer is using on the forums?Just in case someone else is currently doing a deal with them

The more money involved in this hobby, the more crooks will try to steal it.
