Hi OF!
Adding funds for an upcoming potential purchase so offering my extra crater box. If not sold by May 2 then back in the vault it goes.

Here we have a not great, not awful late 1960's/early 1970's Omega "Crater Box" for the Speedmaster. Most appropriate for 145.022-69 and 145.022-71 models but generally nice to have one in the collection regardless.

Overall not in bad shape but it is missing the cushion. You can of course use a substitute cushion like I have, or search for an original (which is a tough find to TBH, almost unobtanium status). It does have the insert to hold the cushion so you are not looking for both pieces; the insert is about as hard to find as the cushion. This insert has the fatter corduroy-style fabric, which is also correct, and is obviously aged to the same "patina" as the rest of the carpet of the box. All glue color is aged vintage etc, I do not believe anyone has tried to restore this box.

It has some general scrapes and dings but not bad for a 50 year old cardboard box. Hinge is in good shape and fully attached. Lots of pictures for you to see the condition but as always feel free to ask questions or for more pictures as needed. I used glare to highlight the scratches and imperfections, none are that bad in a normal light setting but I like to highlight the flaws so there are zero surprises.

$875 delivered to the US, $900 to CA or EU paid via Wise, Zelle or Paypal Friends and Family.

Any questions? Please ask before committing to purchase.
I have references on this forum plus over 20 years of positive ebay feedback under user ID: dperie
