I wondered if anyone thought this could be fake? I've seen this and one other seller have these watches in a very similar, very good condition on a regular basis and while I'm interested I wondered if they were real. I've only seen Geneve versions that have appropriate wear and wondered if these could be have had the dials replaced.

There are a lot of these quite heavily tarted up watches out there... this seller and also LPSALE on ebay have a lot, often.

I suspect them to be the dreaded "Mumbai special"... avoid.

 

This is the first thing you check when looking at a watch. This one has a wobbly rotor and some hack work to the left side end links.



This one has the same issue.



Don't look at watches because they are shiny, look for the hidden traps and money pits. Only then look at the aesthetic implications.
