Hello

My name is Miguel Castro, from Portugal, i'm new to Omega watches.

I just bought a Seamaster from a friend, who hasn't used it much in the last years.
The watch is flawless, just minor superficial scratches in the bracelet. however I jst noticed some corrosion in the hour handle, as shown in the image. Is this a serious matter or just caused by the lack of use, that can be easily solved in the next maintenance? WhatsApp-Image-2024-03-10-at-11.12.56.jpeg

Plaese let me know if this is a dealbreaker os a minor flaw.
Thanks in advance

Hands can age. Not a big deal. If you intend to swim with this have it serviced.

You really should get it opened soon. If it's water damage or humidity due to a lack of water resistance, it's a big problem yes...

Thank you all for your help. I was a bit concerned.
The watch hasn't been used for more than 10 years, and before it was sparsely used. I think it just might need some TLC .

Thanks!

The watch hasn't been used for more than 10 years,
The watch is overdue for a service, specially if you plan on regularly using it and want to get it wet (which avoid doing until it has been serviced). If you send it to Omega for service, they will replace the hands.
