Correct "finish" for a Flightmaster 145.036?

My Flightmaster cal.911 (cadmium hand model 145.036) is in for service and I'm having it refinished as part of this. It's not a battered example, but it's worn enough that I'm unsure what type of finish it had originally. I believe it's the original case, so I want to sympathetically restore it.

If I'm honest, I love the sunburst effect I've seen on some of these watches, but it the original finish should be the more radial type I've seen, I guess I'll go for this instead. Or perhaps I should just go for a sunburst anyway as I love it so much?! 😁
