Correct Bracelet for Seamaster Chronograph CK 2907

Hi, folks. I’m very happy to have snagged an Omega Seamaster chronograph today. It’s calibre 321 and the serial number dates it to circa 1958. It’s a watch I’ve been looking for quite a while. Not easy to find in good condition at a reasonable price.

It has arrived on what appears to be a vintage beads of rice type bracelet made by Speidel. I’d like to see if I can find the correct Omega bracelet, and unfortunately have no idea what to look for beyond 18 mm lug width.

Can anyone help?

Of course here’s a quick picture...

The obvious first choice to see whether it fits are 11 or 511. Omega's current version of the 5-row bracelet is 3010/511.

Is that 18mm or 11/16"? I have some I think are 11/16"...

Thanks very much for asking. It’s 17.67 mm, which I think is 11/16?

I have a buddy here with a bit of a stash, if I can say what he should be looking for. If we are unlucky, I will definitely be looking here.

Thanks again.

11/16" is 17.25mm, so the watch being slightly oversize is perhaps correct. See what you can find. The ones I have were fitted to an 18mm watch, so I replaced them. They might fit yours.

Thanks, we will give it a try. Any ideas about what the right bracelet numbers might be?

I am thoroughly pleased to have this; it was a long hunt and then it turned up locally, a totally random surprise.

Like I said, the current bracelet sold today by Omega is 3010/511. What was supplied back in the day, I cannot say. It might not have even been sold with a bracelet; many were not, and fit with whatever suited the customer in the store.

See first if your friend has #11 or 511 end links and go from there.

Thanks again. We will have a look. I’m also wondering when the BOR bracelet was introduced, and whether it’s period correct for late 1950’s. Maybe others will chime in on this.

eBay has lots of BORs. I was surprised at the wide range of asking prices.

5-row BORs are period correct for the late 50s. Lots of fakes on eBay, most fakes are 7-row though.

Early 50s, and forget eBay. You can get a brand-new bracelet direct from Omega and as nice as your watch is, it deserves it! In the condition that watch is in, it is worth low to mid four figures.

Thanks for all the great info, guys. The references on eBay were 1036 and 1502 (I won’t buy through eBay, don’t worry).

We will do a dig. A couple of other fellow collectors here in Canada have also offered to help look, and if we’re still out of luck I’ll be back in touch.

I am super happy to have found this watch, and in such great condition. I’ve been looking at these online for quite a while, and then BAM — random local find. The best kind...

Those two references are for earlier versions. If you can get one with enough links in good condition for less than $200, it’s worth it.

Congrats on the watch! Can’t help you with bracelet info. I would only wear it on strap. It’s my fav cal 321 chronograph. Nice fat lugs. I do also find gold plated one spectacular. Nice to live in a place where these can be found locally! One photo of the one I am chasing.

A 1506 bracelet with 724 endlinks (4 x 3 BOR) is original to early CK 2907-1.

Thought I should update this. I did a WTB on Canadian Watch Collector, and made a deal on a nine-row BOR marked No 12 and 1037.

Perhaps not 100% period correct, but it’s in excellent condition and I’m happy to have found it. It’s with my watchmaker getting sized — lots of links…

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if we’ll need to trim a nanomicron or two from the end link. I can live with that. It was good to find a bracelet in truly excellent condition.
