Hi guys. Perhaps you can collective help me with what the "correct" bracelet is for my 105.003-65 I picked up couple months ago. I originally thought that a 7912/6 would be correct, but I just received the extract and it was produced in Jan 1966. According to MWO, if I'm reading it correctly, it suggests that a 1501/6 could be the right one. I think that particular bracelet was only produced for a few months. The odds of finding one are very slim. Currently have it on a croc strap, which could be on there longer than anticipated!
Probably several could be correct. https://issuu.com/mstanga/docs/tab_bracciali_omega_ultima.xls I'd probably go for 1035/506.
So if your watch was produced January of 1966, and 7912 went to 1965, would this not be a reasonable match? Should bracelets date stamps always match the extract production date?
That's a really beautiful watch! Mine has had a 1035/6 bracelet from new but there seem to be many variations.
I was happy as a pig in shit to flip my full lenght 7912 (3/63) bracelet for €1435 a year ago (it came on a Constellation ref. 14900), since I had no straight lugs on the horizon. When I purchased my 105.003-65 couple of months ago I was content to fit it on a 1035 on fake #6's.
My Speedy was my 21st birthday present so I can confirm with certainty that number 6 endlinks are correct with a 1035 bracelet, although there may not be many with this configuration.
Very cool, do you have the OF record for longest owned original Speedmaster? If not, it's got to be close.
