    Ello friends,

Purchased this 14K Connie (23,8 million serial) yesterday and the seller mentioned that he also had the original bracelet. Is someone able to tell me whether this bracelet is indeed correct?

I don't have the bracelet yet!

I'm trying to figure out if it's correct for the watch.

I reckon I can get it for scrap value.

Bracelets on these were always optional. The key is how the end-pieces fit the case. 14K gold Milanese style bracelets with Omega hallmarks are far rarer than their 18K counterparts, as they were sold in limited markets (like the USA).

There really is no way to know if the bracelet is original to that watch until you try it out.

If the end-pieces don't fit, it may still be possible to source correct ones. I'm sure that someone ordered a Constellation that way in the mid-1960's.

    Gorgeous watch, BTW!

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Gator. End pieces fit.

14k is also somewhat of the norm here in the Netherlands.

Downside is I ain't getting it for scrap value. :(

Yes it is for the 14k 168.005. 2016-02-07_06-41-10.jpg

And the 18k is for the 18k 168006 with gold dial.

Sacrificing a (up to now) good marriage is more pressing danger. ;)

She thinks it's tacky as hell. She never bothers me with my hobby, but she drew a line here.

I'm sure she'll understand when you explain the investment value
You won't get that return in any bank!!
( or another opportunity like this)

And since no one else has said it

Even if you don't wear it (with a tux) it's an investment. There are not a lot of those around, they've been melted.

I would 100% go for that bracelet whether my wife found it tacky or not. If it is in the same condition as the watch it will be very sharp indeed and a superb accessory for the Connie.

Seller doesn't respond anymore. Seeing that he's a predominantly a gold buyer, I reckon that the bracelet has already been melted down.

    So @Maybe ... I'm interested.
