Hi,

I rescued this from Facebook Marketplace. Originally $300 but after seller put a battery in and it didn't run he reduced it to $ 150 and I snapped it up. It was a roll of the dice for sure as I understand parts (coils especially) are spendy. Anyway I got home and put a battery in (that I knew to be correct and put in correctly)it didn't run BUT it did hum! So I sent off for service and bingo, a tuning fork Omega for $$350! What is the correct band for this? The one on there is one I stole from another watch. 20 mm hooded lugs. The scratches were not done by me. Thanks!

Hearkening back to the 1970s and 1980s when I worked for an Omega dealer, I recall these watches having been sold on leather straps. It was the owner’s discretion as to whether he wore it on a strap, or chose a bracelet he liked from inventory to replace the strap. Omega didn’t make bracelets, so whether you were deciding then, or now, you pretty well have to select from what is available. With all the years that have gone by, be assured that bracelets that were available then, will no longer be available. In short, I suggest you simply will have to choose from styles currently available, that suit the watch, and you. I have three F300s (two Omegas, and an Eterna) all on leather straps.

Maybe take a look on eBay and find examples paired with bracelets to see some options.

A quick google search shows that while the vast majority of these are on leather, several are on an Omega 1196/210 bracelet.

I have that same watch, given to me when I started college in 1977. Here’s the band it came with. Marked Omega, stainless steel, and No. 12
