You have to glue it and to sew it...

Or to buy a new strap..

Skip the hassle and just buy a new one.

Thanks, I'll see if I can hone my craft skills without getting glue on the watch :)

You can take the strap off the watch ;)

I think it's cactus myself and would be buying a new one....

Looking at the overhaul condition of the strap i would have change it... Is it an Omega Strap? Because at first sight the quality of that strap looks very low... or you used until death... look at the side of the band... for me he is dead...

I was chearching some new theme for my next strap making session, and that made me think that panda/Red strap is a good idea !

Oh I see. Probably my bad photo that was focusing on the strap that threw you. In fact it's a Speedmaster Date 323.30.40.40.04.001 Much more prosaic but lovely all the same....

That's probably good advice. Would they replace if under guarantee ?

Wear and tear isn't going to be covered under the warranty. Only mechanical defects. *knock on wood*

Def a speedy racing edition which came with the first run 19mm cordura straps. Glue on these was a weaker variation (hand applied vs spray gun) and known to separate easily.
Unless you know you're getting a newer variety of this strap (which is almost impossible to determine) I would go for a custom made cordura, or anything else that suits your fancy.
First versions of Omega straps are known to be finicky (see also: Planet Ocean rubber).

You can get the cordura strap via an omega boutique. I got one in Feb from them. I doubt its under warranty as the watch is over 5 years old.

Nice Speedy Yemen mine says hello. image.jpeg

Speedy Yemen is the nickname for these.

They are not considered part of the racing lines, but are the step between Speedy Dates and the Speedy Racing watches.

It depends on what the condition of the rest of the strap looks like. If it's not trashed I would glue it down.

Thanks to all. Found a new strap on eBay and took it to jewellers who fitted it for free. The old one was horribly worn.
