Thinking of adding one to the collection. Please contact me and let me know what you might have. Box and papers and not overly polished or restored dial ideally.
Hi @Norfolk That’s a very large net you’re casting there. It might be better for responses if you narrow down the options a bit. Say (a range of) case styles and preference for pie pan or dome dial.
my apologies,,,, Ideal would be pie pan solid gold dial fluted or stepped edges pref with original bracelet but not essential as normally wear on leather anyway the larger sized version
I think you also need to confirm ‘de luxe’ or ‘grande luxe’. Just for info: The round cased Connies that you’ve posted about previously (168.004 and 168.010) are only 1mm larger than their fellow references (35.5mm-v-34.5mm) but wear larger on the wrist due to the dial/bezel arrangement. Only the true jumbos are significantly larger (by a couple of millimetres) and I don’t recall ever seeing a de luxe version.
thanks - either of those wonderful examples would appeal. I am trying to not be too specific and to see what options I have out there.
You might want to consider this. https://www.bukowskis.com/en/auctions/614/44-omega-constellation-pie-pan
thank you. Will check it out. I havent dealt with this auction house. What do we think of them, and this watch? I prefer the brick link bracelet version.
I recommend the 501/505 pie pan with stepped dial, arrowhead hour markers. They look best in design with mechanically sound movement.
I seem to remember @hoipolloi posting pictures of some amazing examples, I'm pretty sure both pink and white gold.
