I'm in need of the missing observatory coin/medallion on the case back, can anyone advise?

Need to know the case reference rather than just the movement but you’ll have a better chance of finding an actual whole replacement caseback rather than a loose medallion

@dsio is right - but as a member found out recently to their cost, you may also need to match the case reference and case maker as there are sometimes two or three case makers for a particular reference which may have small differences.

hi, thanks for the Reponses, case back ref 14393, i'd sooner keep the original case back as it has a birthday message on it from 1963

genuine medallions are very few and far between (simply put -you just don't see them on their own)
you do occasionally see replicas pop up on eBay - they are not quite the same colour and a bit rough in the detail but would do the job if you wanted to retain the original case back

The main reason that medallions are so scarce on their own is that they were never sold separately by Omega.

In the old days, if yours fell out, you had no choice but to buy a new case back.
