Hi all,

I have had this watch for quite a while. Never had it running. I have changed the battery etc.

Are these cost effective to get repaired or is not really feasible?

Thanks for your help and advice.

Cheers,

Ruairi

Depends what’s wrong with the mechanics, could become costly. If you like it and keep the watch, go for it.

I have two f300 cal 1250 and wear them regularly. That said, there aren’t many places where you can get them reliably serviced and the cost is, in the UK, about £250/300 for a repair/service, depending upon the condition of the watch.

If you post where you are, someone will be able to recommend a servicer

Rob Berkavicius in Thailand is great. I have never had to pay over $200 USD including shipping, and some watches required significant work: new coils, new tuning fork, etc. He is among the best, but unfortunately his site is down right now. http://members.iinet.net.au/~fotoplot/acc.htm If you are interested, I can send him an email to see what is going on.

I just sent Rob and email, I'll let you know when I hear back. He is an aussie too, but he just lives in Thailand.

Great, thank you.

Just heard back from Rob. He said:

Thanks for asking, everything is OK. My old Accutron Watch Page website
has gone, as my ISP decided to stop hosting webpages (without telling
anyone). However, it is not lost, but I have moved it to a new site
which is: www.accutronwatchpage.com. My email address will keep working,
but I do have a new one too: [email protected]

Thanks,
Rob

"Unwind In Time" is in East Texas

Jarett trained with and bought all parts and supplies from René Rondeau, who wrote the book(s).

He's pulled my ass out the fire a few times when I got my head over my skies on these electric marvels!

(I hate mixing metaphors)

I just had Jarett service my Hamilton Pacer. Excellent work.

I thought Unwind In Time was principally specialized in Hamilton Electrics. Accutron movements are of a completely different technology (tuning forks). Does Jarett also service Accutrons?
