I've just bought this on an impulse. It was really a struggle - hope the pain will not last long. Anybody guesses what reference it is?
Don't know if the hands are of the correct length, but I'm positive the strap is of the wrong witdth at the lug ends! But a nice piece!
I think the hands are correct and the condition very nice, maybe the owner was ashamed of the girly strap. I hope it is not your strap...
I've just made the payment and have not received the watch yet, so the strap is not mine, but it could very well be original and therefore collectible - if someone wants to have the strap, just the strap only.
Straps tend to shrink this way when machine washing in hot water, hopefully the watch was not attached during the wash.
Naw, from the patina of the Observatory, it looks more likely cleaned with one of those do-it-yourself home drycleaning bags.
Just to update everyone with a teaser that it is a 14395-1 SC. Does anyone have any info or would like to comment on this reference?
Aga79 It really makes me proud to be a member of this forum, when someone spends real money saving an iconic watch, which has a face "only a mother could love"! I like that, cheers, paul
Big Daddy. Yes, the Master has spoken! The cal. 504 alone is quite special, the rare dial has never shown up on a Constellation before, but the ref. 14395 must be one of the rarest, if not the rarest, Constellations - not just it rarely ever appears, it's a big beast 37mm Jumbo that's been documented for the first time to contain the cal. 504! http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.ca/2014/12/the-14395-daddy-of-jumbo-omega.html By just following the lead of the estemed Mike, Hoi and countless other connoisseurs here and elsewhere, armed with the wealth of knowledge on Desmond's blog, I was able to get my hand on something truly special (at least in the world of Constellations) beyond my wildest dream! Thank you all! Tony
