Constellation 18kt gold 1955 caseback and caliber question.

Hello fellow omega fanatics. I bought this 18 kt gold constellation and it is beautiful. When i got deeper into the caseback and caliber matching i saw that i had a 5* caliber in the watch but a caseback that states 352. I know that the 3* calibers were the first calibers in the constellation and that 5* came four years later. I do not know the most about watches so my question is if this is a thing that causes some problems with the originality of the watch. Or is it not a big problem, because the caseback is still in very good state and the only thing thats not matching is the numbers 352 while theres a 5* caliber in the watch. Thanks for helping already!

What's the case reference number? I can't see it from your picture and I'm confused by your comment regarding a 352 in the case back

I hope this gives you more information. Thanks for answering! I meant the 352 next to the 18k marking. I thought that this meant that the case back was meant for a constellation with the caliber 352 in it. Am i wrong about this?

Yes. The 352 in a little hammerhead symbol is the "poinçon de maître", the mark specific to the casemaker, in this instance Serva SA, who did a lot of cases for Constellations back in the day.

A 5** series movement is correct for a 2852 or 2853
Thanks a lot! Is the case back also compatible with the watch. It is a 18 karat gold caseback. But the markings on it with stating 352 is uknown to me what does these numbers mean? Sorry if it is a stupid auestion but im pretty new to it.

You're welcome. (I wish now I'd said, the number is crazy, this watch is a tragic mess, but for $50 I'll take it away for you so you never have to be troubled by it again.) 😁

Hahahaha would be smart. Yeah It is a really nice watch in my opinion. Very flattering patina on the dial and the 18k is also looking very nice. Bought it for 2700 eu so i think that i got a good deal!
