Constellation 168017 questions

Dear fellow OF members!
Currently a Constellation 168.017 is for sale locally. Although good looking, I have some reservations regarding correctness of the watch. Until now I can’t remember seeing a SS cushion Conny with a golden dial unless a platinum fluted bezel is involved. Pictures are not the best quality, but the crown is incorrect, duh! Movement looks to be a cal 564. Serial is unrecognizable. Case reworked? Looks razorsharp, but to me suspicious.
Any ideas from the experts?

Not an expert, but have a few of these. Can't say about the gold dial, but case sure looks refinished, polished mirror finish on caseback too.

Wrong crown and the photos are too poor to give any sort of assessment. You don’t mention the price either

Not wishing to be pedantic @Plees but for clarity for future readers of this thread - the 168.017 is a C case not a cushion case and did you mean white gold fluted bezel ? ) not platinum)

You are fully correct, my bad! C case and white gold it is😬
And yes, photo’s are mediocre to say the least. I am not going to buy this, the price for me is irrelevant. Just want to check if my assumptions are correct and the outcome of the OF is for the greater good😎

The problem is that, of all the 50s & 60s Constellations, Omega did some strange stylistic things with the C cases.
(Yellow gold case with white gold bezel…)

And Constellations were produced with SS cases and gold hands and furniture- so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to expect to see a champagne dial and gold furniture in a SS C case.

The thing like i stated before: unlike the wg fluted bezel, I haven’t seen any example with this combination. That made me wonder. And yes, it’s not only connies that have multiple combos. You see it also with Seamasters.
