I found this piece online and started to speak with the seller. Minimum price he accepts its 1.700,00 USD.
Worth it?

Have you compared prices of sold (!) items?

1700$ is rather high for this one. Especially with a pretty visible mark at the center of the dial and a movement that looks a little tired, so you’ll have to factor in a service.

A good 500$+ too expensive even if it didn’t have the mark.

Also worth looking on Chrono24 where there are quite a few. Bear in mind though that C24 has a reputation for being pricier than other sights.

That said, there are generally more Asian sellers and there are quite a lot of Seamasters and Connie’s on sale in Japan.

It’s also a good idea to buy a Constellation with the original bracelet because, and I know to my cost, it’s hard and expensive to source the correct bracelet and end links separately.

And, unless you’re wedded to the idea of a 168.027, there are quite a few 168.017 models out there.

I was offered a 168.027 locally in really nice condition, brick bracelet and all, for 700 euros ($800). Since I'm looking to resell and make a little profit, I had to turn it down. Realistically, as mentioned above, these should go for $1-1.2k when in good condition.

The thing with eBay and C24 is that there's fees which you'll eventually end up paying. A lot of sellers sell on both and keep the prices pretty much aligned, maybe minus the fee difference. So you're not going to get great deals if you don't follow auctions for weeks or months and when you end up winning one, hope it's better than the shitty photos and a paragraph of AI generated description.

Your best bet, I think, is this forum. If it's not a watch you need tomorrow, you can be patient and check the sale listings frequently. Maybe set a saved search on eBay too for auctions only and get notified when something comes up.

Nobody said there are cheaper examples available right now.

If you’re in a rush, go for it.
