Hi all,

I’ve found what seems to be a nice 168.017 Turlër on a French web site.
I like this green dial, but the main issue is that the watch is not working… looking at the mouvement it is easy to guess why..!

what is your thoughts? Could it be an easy fix or real problem?

I have offer 300€… but it seems like a gamble

Photos are awful but show enough rust on the winding stem to say "real problem" with the current movement. Donor movement may be possible and may be cheaper than a repair. I like the dial enough that I would probably say worth 300E but I have a soft spot for Meister dials so others may not agree.

The bracelet alone is 150-200€ if the rest of it doesn't look as drowned as the movement. The case looks nice and I'd bet so does the dial under the scratched plexi. The rust is definitely a problem, but the parts alone are worth way over the asking price, I don't see the risk. Buy it, check / have checked how much of the watch is affected by the rust. Possibly find a donor movement and a new stem, replacement 564s come up on ebay pretty regularly. And if it's too gone, sell the parts and make a dime on it. 😀

I've seen a few with 'meister' signed on the dial.
Like tűrler, tiffany they were just a high end shop at that time?
Any ways to spot if they are applied later on? (fakes?)
Can you add anything more to the story behind them, please? 😀

I agree with the others; I'd buy any of these (very) rare moiré dials when available. Avatar as proof.

Yup just like Tiffany etc a rarer dial than some, they didn’t do too many cobranded designs.

Seller is currently asking for 450€… he took my offer into account but want to wait fews weeks in order to see if he gets a better offer… wait and see

Well… I was against another buyer well known on Omegaforum !! The seller send me a picture of the offer he received and wanted me to go as high, and I did not.
I know it will be well appreciate by the fellow member 😀

Let's see if he wants to sell to someone outside of France. I think he may be using my offer to put pressure on you whilst not intending to ship abroad...
