Today I'm listing a 1960's Constellation 14900 for sale. This 14900 was the first reference to feature the new dog leg case design, with these pronounced sharp edges and highly defined chamfers it was the start of a totally different design ethos to the earlier lyre lug cases. Running a calibre 551 chronometer movement. The steel case is very sharp indeed, with well defined edges. The case back has some marks and light scratches, the medallion is well defined. The crown is the thin type with old logo. The black dial as can be seen has faded to an attractive brown/black colour. Raised steel markers and hands. I sourced this correct Constellation tritium hand set as the watch came to me with incorrect baton hands. The seconds hand was a from a dome dial and a few mm too long, so I've had it shortened to the correct length. The cal 551 movement has been serviced around 12 months ago and is winding, setting and running well with good timekeeping. The thin crown is a little stiff to manually wind but perfectly smooth with setting the time. Selling on the matching brown strap shown €2350 net to me will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal for well established forum members only. Any questions?..Just ask!
So I take it you’re consolidating to a 5711 Nautilus mate? A lot of nice watches getting let go rapid fire.
Hee, hee....I haven't sold anything for a couple of years really, and as I find it quite a drag to do I prefer to try get my sales into a nice flow. And I'm actually contemplating hunting down a 33.3 chrono, it's a watch I've long lusted after and can only be financed after some kind of consolidation.
Worthy prey. Good luck with your sales and hunt! Don't know what else you have coming, but my eyes are peeled and I am currently accepting pre-sale messages.
