Considering my first Speedmaster

I found this and I don’t know much about the speedmaster in general to tell how original it is or it’s condition. I know the glass is all scratched up and so is the case. My main concern is the back of the lugs. They kinda look like they’ve been chewed out and filled with a soldering iron.
Do you think based on the horrible pictures that this is a damaged case?
Could it be that it’s just dirty from the link ends connecting to the watch resting there?
What should a watch in this condition be valued at? This is my first speedmaster I am considering and I love the flat link bracelet. I’m not too picky about little things that make a watch valuable, I just like the look of the flat links.
That being said what is the lower end (affordable) versions of this watch with flat 3 link bracelet instead of the newer 5 link ones?
(I know I should try and get better pictures…. The person I am writing to doesn’t understand or have the ability to send me them. I’ve asked multiple times and get different bad pictures every time. I don’t know if they are hiding something or they are just technologically challenged )

Thanks in advance

I'm a complete newbie and don't know anything about Speedmasters. Just clicked on this to eavesdrop as usual. But, is that a flat link bracelet or a president bracelet? If you're saying you like the bracelet in the photos on eBay, then it's probably not important what it's called. Just wanted to make sure you weren't accidentally confusing it for something that you like. And sorry if I misunderstand the terminology altogether. Again, newbie.

I’m not sure what it’s called but I like the 3 links over the newer 5

The damage on the back of the lugs appears to be from the bracelet that you like. It's not a flat-link bracelet, obviously, since the links are not flat. But I don't see anything wrong with the watch, it's just a bit rough. I think the starting bid is at the high end of what someone would pay.
