considering Longines 8236-2 with cal 490 - thoughts?

I've been wanting a vintage Longines and a SS watch with a second subdial. I found this 8236-2 that meets both requirements. It has a cal 490 (based on Election 885), which I realize is not that collectible. Serial number dates it to circa 1967. The dial looks original to me based on many comparisons, although it's tough to see the texture in the photos. Case seems crisp. The crown is not signed and I have seen it both ways. I think it's a nice watch and I'm looking to offer $250.
I would appreciate any input as to (1) originality of dial, and (2) overall thought on the cal 490 considering the price.
Thanks!

I was hoping that a Longines or any re-dial expert could provide a little advice. Anyone?

Just received it after 4 weeks of transit. I love the size (35mm) and bezels sharp. Feels great!
