Considering a seamaster 600 vintage

Hello, guys. I need your help.

I don't have any experience in buying a vintage watch but I fell in love with the omega seamaster 600.

A guy is selling one for 400 euros in my zone. Should I buy it? Can it be fake?

One detail that I noticed is that the serial number is no longer visible. Only the first number 2 can be seen. The price should be lower due to this detail?

The album is linked here: https://imgur.com/a/V3W0yF8

Do you think this is worth it?

I wouldn't touch a watch with an obliterated serial number unless the seller has a very very very very good reason, and concrete proof as to why it was deleted.

He buyed it online few months ago. I guess he could not know the reason.
Thanks you.

Can you actually think of any very very very very good reason? I've been pondering.... it just simply screams "nicked!" at me. Probably "professionally" defaced (with acid?) and fenced too.
