Glycine Combat Moonphase 36mm with Sellita 280. I like it, not vintage obviously but under 40mm and quite affordable.

I like these - if only it had an Arabic dial option

@dougwhiz did you end up getting your moonphase? I just got the bug and really like the Christopher Ward collection. My preference is actually the older C9 moonphase (I like the details on the moon and date at 6:00), but the C1 Grand Malvern and the C1 Moonglow are also stunning. My issue with the Moonglow is that the 2nd moon is always visible under the smoked glass. I wish the smoked glass was a little darker.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but my love for them hasn't waned ...

Seriously, my grail would be a Speedmaster with moonphase. However, I need to set my sights a little lower. I had considered the Glycine, and I do like the look of both of those Christopher Ward models.

I saw what you did there. Waxing lyrical.

I pulled the trigger on a Christopher Ward C1 Grand Malvern Moonphase. First day on the wrist.

I've always wanted a moonphase watch, and I like both the Meister Singer Lunascope and the new Christopher Ward Moonglow. However, I think their 40mm cases are just a little large for me, and I'd like to find an affordable vintage one.
Let's see your favorites!

Wow.
I love this. Never seen a cw like it.
I've had a few and always sold them but may have to grab one of these...

the Moonglow is striking, but several owners report drawbacks: the smoked glass is not dark enough so there are always two moons, the smoked glass has glare, can't see the hour hand in the dark, etc. After reading a lot of comments, I decided to forgo the Moonglow and buy the Grand Malvern Moonphase

Oris, Montblanc, and Frederique Constant got great offerings between $1k-$4k.

My favorite moon phase as of late is the Glashuette original senator excellence line. They make a great moon phase big date model as well as a perpetual calendar with moon phase if your budget can handle it

I'm looking to buy an Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Ret. 175.0034 (Officially called, "Golden Gate Chronograph", I think)for my 30th birthday next year. Think it's a gorgeous watch.
