    Hello everybody

    Second post on the forum.

I have found locally an offer for a Omega Seamaster Cosmic:
    Referenz 1660098
    Automatik Kaliber 1481
    Durchmesser 35,3mm (mit Krone 38)
    1970?s Jahre
    555chf without the strap
    bad quality photo attached

However, after some research I have a weird feeling as the case and caliber fit more with an Omega Geneve. Cosmic are usually different. I could not find much info about the reference either.

Do you think it is a redial?
Is it a watch you would consider buying?

The photo is poor but doesn’t look like a cosmic case to my newbie eye just from the lug design. More likely a cosmic dial in a different case but can’t make much out from the photo...

I would not consider buying any watch if I had that kind of doubts about it, plus it's not exactly cheap. You could get a 565 for that money.

I would stay away from that deal. For that price you can get more iconic Cosmics.

Thank you all for the feedback.
I asked about the history of the watch, just for curiosity. I will post the info if something relevent comes up.
    Cheers

I have a cosmic from 68. The case looks completely different (front loader). Probably a franken.

    Move on
