Connies coming up at Antiquorum

These Constellations are on the block at Antiquorum next month and popped up in my alerts today, so I thought we should have a look at what’s on offer.

Estimates are in Swiss Francs.
Add a whopping 30% commission to the hammer price.

1. First up SS 168.004
A nice enough watch but a ‘Disco Volante’, as it is billed, it is not.
Estimate 1500-2500
Good looking dome dial but has had all of the life taken out of it by the polishing wheel.


No2. SS 14393 with black pie pan and early BOR
Estimate 2200-4200
Or is it?
Listing says 14393-6 SC with cal 551, so should be 14381.
Slightly polished case, interesting black dial (looks correct, if patinated ) replacement crown.
let’s hope they got the listing wrong and that it hasn’t got the wrong case back.




no.3 18k YG 2852
Estimate 1000-2000
Polished case and a rather poor redial, hence the estimate.



No 4 18k YG 2943 with arrowhead dial
Estimate 1000-2000
Polished case, poor pics but looks like a redial (I think the asking confirms this)


No5 18k white gold 14393 pie pan
Estimate 7000-9000
Certainly an uncommon case in white gold.
Case lightly polished, heavily patinated dial, replacement crown.
I can see someone putting their money down for this case and the case appearing with a different dial in the future.


Finally no6 2943 18k YG dome dial
Estimate 2800-3800
Or is it?
Looks like a nice dial in a polished Seamaster case.


So, all in all, not really a great deal for Constellation followers to get excited about - one uncommon white gold case and one (possibly ) interesting watch with a black pie pan.

It will be interesting to see what these watches actually realise on the day.

Many thanks for posting this. Is the buyer's fee 30% or 25%? Somewhere else on the site they say something about charging 7.7% VAT, and that you would need to file paperwork to have it refunded.
