i’ve been looking to acquiring a pie pan for some time and a colleague sent me this for Catawiki (https://auction.catawiki.com/kavels/15129785). I’ve have yet to run across a pie pan with the crown recessed and am wondering if there is such a model? Also shouldn’t the crown be a decagon?

    Thanks,
    B

    Yes
There are pie pans with round cases and recessed crowns
    This is a 168.010
    No
    the crown shouldn’t be faceted

from the pics the dial looks okay
the case is fairly well polished
the current bid is about right IF it was in good condition
the estimate is way too high for this version
(although if it has been serviced properly this would add value)

ps posting pics rather than a link helps everyone comment

    hope that helps

Interesting! First time I’ve seen it, but not sure if I dig the recessed crown. Thanks for the education!

The OP obviously missed your suggestion.

You can find these hidden crowns also on the model 168.004. These models are quite big for that time. I think around 36mm.
