Wow! An entire observatory, utterly obliterated by the polishing wheel!

I see three different colors in that movement, which makes me not trust it.

Not that it makes this one more attractive, but actually it could be just daily wear - this is the back of my Father-in-Law's Connie - never saw the wheel of death in its life. Just 50 years of daily wear...

Still no! And I don´t find $300 dollars cheap for such a poor watch.

case does not match the mechanism; pie slice watch hands belong in an earlier case, the C shaped case is from the late 60's/early 1970's. Its not impossible it was a poor repair so you might get away with just changing the hands but a watch repairer should be able to date the watch exactly from the numbers on the mechanism

So is this one - looking at the condition of the movement it will require several hundred in parts (likely based my experience servicing a ton of these) to bring it into proper working condition, plus labour of course...and then you will still have a worn out looking watch...

What is it with your preference for beaten-up Constellations..... :D
I like the way the band seems to be reversed: end link on the front-side? :whistling:

Would recommend a thorough wait and regular visit to the 'for sale' section of the Forum. And read up instead of tempting us with these examples, so that you yourself will become knowledgable too
@Archer will tell you over and over again that in the end you'll pay much more on a run-downer that has to be serviced, than look around here for a while

Please look at the sales forums on here!

Honestly, I've just moved this on for not a whole lot more than those figures:

So far, with one exception, this discussion has taken on the character of a Bring Out Your Dead thread.

The price of the C-Shape is such that you can still source a quality example for a reasonable price, 425 pounds would be ample, and you would have an example that didn't look as though it has been sourced from a grave robber.

    :)
