just received this vintage omega constellation and opened the back case.

while i am almost convinced that is is either heavily tampered movement or totally fake movement, maybe you guys can re confirm my take on this

anyway the good news is, i know the seller and the seller would like to have it checked at omega store and if i am proven correct, they are willing to give me a refund.[IMG]

What has you worried? What's the reference number stamped inside the case back?

The rotor has an Omega symbol on it, and the small circular area on the movement will have the serial number in it. The movement looks completely legit from what you have shown so far.

Omega 1000 something series, perfectly legit from what you've shown.

If you haven't blured anything out, it looks like the insert with the serial number and movement number is gone.

The circle at the top of the picture you've posted, should contain something like what @tdn-dk posted above.

As I see the ink in yellow circle is gone, but this movement is 100% genuine.

There's a little insert missing that would have had the serial # ... looks like a 1012 but, as a rule, "1012" would be below that circle and "OMEGA etc" on the bridge. The movement looks correct, I'm a little confused as to why it's sanitised though I'm sure there'll be a decent story behind it.

The small label is missing, but the movement again looks perfectly genuine.

and the picture of the watch itself.
Is the crystal replaced or this model actually have the flat crystal and not dome type?
As i cannot check the year due to the missing serial numbers, any idea what year is this piece?

Guys, thanks so much for the help.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

1680056 - yes it has a flat mineral glass crystal.

Movement is likely a Cal. 1011. These started in the early 70's.
