Hi all, I've been on the hunt for my first 'expensive' watch, I will be clearing out my cheaper collection to recoup some of the $ I just spent on a SPM w/ hesalite. I'm also about to be a father for the first time and thought one day (hopefully he'll appreciate it) be able to hand it down to my son.

I read a lot bout grey market, resellers, etc.

I decide to buy a SPM from a "reseller" that obviously gets them from an AD overseas and resells for a small margin of profit. I purchased it from someone with good feedback on the rolexforums.

Watch arrived and looks great, no questions about its authenticity, seller sells much more expensive watches. Serial numbers checked on on watch and card.

Here's my question, the the AD stamp for jewler is very blurry and I've only seen 1 thread talking about a similar situation. The seller was able to give me the name of the AD and I could make the last part of the AD's name based off what he gave me. Verified it on Omega's website that they are a legitimate AD. They are located in Saudi Arabia.

He assured me that even though it is hard to read, that if I ever had to get warranty work serviced they could still verify by serial # that it was purchased from the AD. Is that true?

    Many thanks!
    David

I don't think there is anything you will need to worry about with the warranty card. As long as it's stamped, even if a bit smeared, I don't think is an issue.

Most importantly, we need pics of your new SMP! Congrats and welcome to the forums.

Love the strap. I’ve got one similar on my Sinn 903 (22mm). I need one like that on my speedy.
