    Hi everyone,

I've found a Speedy for sale locally and being a compete novice when it comes to Speedmaster, I'm hoping you all would be able to comment on it's external condition - I do not have any images of the movement at this time.

The sale is for the head-only, 7703XXX serial number, and no box or papers. Asking is $2300 USD.

Is there anything I should watch out for with this model? Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to acquire a model-correct bracelet?

    Thanks in advance!!!!

Saw that listing as well and $2300 for head only is overpriced IMHO. Bracelet will cost you an extra $400 min, and lack of box papers on a modern piece nicks off a minimum of 10%, so you're looking at a min equivalent market value of $2970. I would much rather ask one of the trusted forum sellers here to source you one for the same if not less dough, in better condition with all original items present.

Thanks for that great feedback! The appeal of the listing is partially because it is a Canadian seller from Toronto and so I would be able to meet Face-to-face and, most importantly, avoid the 20% import duty for anything outside of Canada.

If anyone is aware that one of our trusted sellers is Canadian, I would greatly appreciate the referral!

    Cheers!

If you can buy it for $1800 - $1900, you're doing OK.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree that without B&P and any sort of bracelet or strap it's probably overpriced. It also sets off warning bells for me - I mean how did the seller acquire it, and why is it missing those items?

Why would you even consider some dodgey local deal when for similar money @Kringkily can spice you something that will be 100 % genuine in great condition and trouble free. I posted the same message at least a dozen times. I know it's an annoying broken record for anyone who was noticed (likely nobody). However unless you're a seasoned buyer why take the chance when you've got someone on OF with his reputation and access to inventory
