Hi. Wondering if my post was...............Inappropriate? Unintelligent? Incoherent? Irrelevant? Unanswerable (I.e., a Koan)?????? Please coach me! If 'no' to all, there must be some Rolex experts out there who can offer some guidance? Thank you, Tom
The caseback and Movement are both original Rolex.
Is that all you want to know?
Both colored gear wheels should be bright
metallic red. Hard to tell from the photo you uploaded,
which has a sepia tone to the photograph.
The watch looks unpolished but this one has been
ridden hard, worn everyday. Lots of lug damage from the bracelet.
The 24hr hand is green. I don't know what that's all
about, but obviously it should be white. That's another detraction.
There are lots of these around so it's not too hard to
find a nice one and they are cheap relatively speaking.
I'd try to find a better one
Awesome! I earned a green hand! Seriously, thank you pitpro, this is exactly what I needed -- a cold slap in the face! As a noob, I am so excited to start landing new watches that I a.) miss all the nuanced but troubling signs of a watch gone-astray and b.) ignore all the obvious but troubling signs of a watch gone-astray. I mistake flaws for patina and as far as cases go.......I have no eye whatsoever! So......as I come up to speed......thank you all for protecting me from myself. Tom
