Hi ahsposo. Yes, I'm new to the forum and sorry if I acted clumsy.
I didn't have any intent against the rules anyway.
Thanks for your advice.
My best
That you meant no foul is obvious and I hope you forgive the unsought advice from me.

Hey all ,
Saw this watch thinking whether it's an original admiralty/ Omega watch, what do you think ?

Have you compared it to other examples shown in the twenty-three pages of this thread?

We're here to help not do the work for you.

The dial is a re-dial, unless it's some rare version I'm not familiar with. The crown is original which is nice to see. The lower left lug has been damaged (bent) and the crystal could use replacing, or a full tube of Polywatch and some cramped fingers. I see lot's of honest wear....imagine the stories it could tell. At some point, there was likely some water damage which is likely lead to the need for a redial. I would be a bit concerned about the amount of parts that need replacing under the hood.

Hey can someone give me the lug to lug measurement of the long lug version please? The short lug is 40mm lug to lug and just over 35 case diameter.

Hi all,
Would a 166.054 Non-Anchor be more or less valuable than an Anchor dial counterpart? Since there are so few Non-Anchor dial comps right now I’m having a hard time pricing it. Completely original without the case and seldom worn.

The only comps I am seeing are $3200 on eBay and $2193 on Chrono24.

I've always been under the impression that the non-anchor models are the later ones, right before they stopped production of these all together. Maybe you and others on here with non-anchor models can confirm by looking at the serial number.

I would say, the the value should be the same, but that the ones WITH anchor logos would be easier to sell as they might be more attractive to collectors, but that's just hearsay....

As far as the comparable prices, keep in mind that you need to be looking at SOLD listings on ebay as those listed prices are on the high side. And that's the same for Chrono24, as a general rule. The Admiralties are not as common (yet?!) and so I think there values aren't stable and regular. Confirmed high priced sales are usually due to impulsive idiots such as myself who are obsessed about a certain dial-movement configuration and not casual collectors. (personally, I'm working on it and hope to get control over my addiction some day soon).

Hi All,

Despite having owned my Admiralty for several years now, I have only recently come across this forum. It has been fascinating reading through and seeing all the different Admiralty variations. Thanks for creating this great resource @DIV!

Below is my watch - shorthorn, 565 movement with black military dial and date function.

Does anyone know the reference number? It seems based on @Dr.Sascha's post on pg 15 it is 166.083... but I haven't actually been able to find any 166.083 watches to confirm this so I am not 100% positive.

I know I could open the case to find out, but I am somewhat paranoid of doing that in the event of potentially damaging something.

Any insights anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Part of the club 😀
I did not expect to like this one so much.

There is some darkening around the indices and logo. The crown looks like a weird fake.
Ordered a replacement off eBay that looks good enough 👍

This is a pic of my Admiralty projects in (slow) progress. They are all NOS 135.042 cases. Would anyone be able to tell me what the serial no of the correct crown is? I understand that they came with a cal 601 movement which shouldn’t be too hard to source. Obviously also looking for dials and hands. Happy to let my burgundy (too 70s!) case go to a new home as an exhange for some parts or any decent offer but I fear a lost cause....
Hello is the case with the red bezel still available?
Thanks

Maybe don’t hold your breath. The post you’re quoting is 6 years old and that member last logged into the forum just shy of a year ago.
