Hi all, still waiting on my Admiralty to come in. Few questions for some of the more knowledgeable members on here, was there ever a consensus on if date versions came with non magnified crystals? The one I purchased does not have a magnifying window, which I actually prefer but was just wondering.

Also, one more question: Is the date wheel supposed to be white or black? Have seen multiple instances of both.
Paging @DIV
Hi dmtowl---sorry for not noticing your "page" for my response. I've seen the date in all colors. white or silver background is common, and sometimes black background, but only on the black-dialed versions. Congrats on your pick-up!

Hi guys, Great Topic!
i am also planning to go for a Admiralty but dont know the prices, see a lot of difference.
looking for a manual wind blue anchor , prefer with the steel bracelet.
is the blue also rare like the burgundy?
can anybody help about what the prices are these days for a good example?

Picked this up recently, it's my first "non-anchor" admiralty. The watch is extremely clean other than a few marks on the bezel.

hi all! Very informative. I have learnt a lot by reading through this. I own an 135.042 in burgundy red, which is stunning and I love wearing. 馃榾

I'm planning on adding a non-bezeled one and am undecided on the short vs long horn versions. I have seen different, comments about the short horn being 18mm between lugs rather than 17mm. Can someone confirm for certain which one it is?

Thx!

Nice one!
Is the non anchor ones a service dial or just earlier examples?

Edit: 135.042 should be 18mm

On page 14 @flqt-9000 posted an Omega catalogue that includes the non-anchor dials, so seems like Omega did produce them in that configuration: https://omegaforums.net/threads/comprehensive-omega-admiralty-thread.69037/page-14#post-1723311

I'm not sure if the non-anchor dials would be earlier or later though. The watch I posted above has a 31x serial number, which would date it to 1969 I believe.

A lot of good information if you read this whole thread. Price depends, but you should be able to get a nice example for around $2000-2500馃榾
Maybe less if you're patient.

Bezel and dial is nearly impossible to find..
Crowns are often replaced with wrong ones, but they are easier to find.

There is one blue anchor with bracelet on chrono24, the price is nearly double of reasonable asking price in my opinion..

Thanks, learned a lot here!

yeah , i saw that one on chrono but 5500 euro is a little bit high for me.
why the high price? is the blue one more rare then the burgundy one?

Great thread and very informative 馃憤

I'm looking at purchasing the following admiralty but I'd appreciate the experts casting a quick eye over it.

It looks to me like a genuine example with original crown from what I can tell. The movement is a 613 with a serial showing circa 1968.

I don't see any immediate red flags. Does the Cal suggest a later production date or were different Cal's used throughout the production run?

Any help/guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

If you like it and it鈥檚 the price you mentioned yesterday I鈥檇 just buy it.
It鈥檚 a sought after watch and the price seems cheap if a genuine sale. 613 seems fine for manual versions of these

Thanks David, just wanted to check I hadn't missed anything obvious. I didn't know if the Cal was date specific. As my first real purchase, I didn't want to rush into it.

Well the 613 with semi quickset replaced the cal 611 but there鈥檚 no reason it shouldn鈥檛 be correct.

Beautiful!

Which one is more rare? the burgundy or the blue?

What is a normal price for a nice example?

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I would like to share with you all my new arrival.
I was very attracted to the shapes and military dial of this watch and eventually gave in.
I really like it even if it has replacement crown and glass ...
Regards
