Only that he should have taken the $4,500 offered.

It's a more than fair price for that watch, even in what looks to be pretty nice condition.

I agree. No chance I would pay that amount for that watch. JMHO.

Crikey, he'd charge me €317,84 (GBP223) to ship it from England to the Netherlands.

Is it being delivered by a golden carriage pulled by unicorns?

I am a working class fool, stumbled on opportunities and so lucky to be blessed as I am.
I live in a nice resort and am absolutely, constantly amazed at the wealth that some possess and bandy about like it is popcorn at the movie theatre ( sp theater back here), going to extremes and not worrying about what gets spilled or wasted (but strangely, not shared?).

Many that desire something are not too particular about details and I believe there are merchants that purposely seek these people out.
Just visit Rodeo Dr. or Michigan Ave. or 5th Ave

Why not take a shot with a nice piece at landing one of these?

I only begrudge the liars and the cheats, not the optimists and dreamers.

He tells me that I should take up fishing which would teach me patience which sounds as though he will relist at that same amount and eventually someone will bite.

I forget what I sold mine for to Ed ( calling @Hijak ) but it was a bumper 354 reference 27xx - which was a more sought after watch, and it was in nicer condition. I know it wasn't $7500!!!!! It was somewhere under $4500..... maybe $4200?

He obviously a believer in the PT Barnum quote that "A sucker is born every minute."

    And quite arrogant as well.

We use to taunt our Swedish neighbors with the following riddle: ::facepalm1::
Q: "Why couldn't Jesus have been born in Sweden?"
A: "They would never been able to find a virgin or three wise men there...."

You know, I kind of like this guy. I'm not gonna pay his list price but I'm hoping it sells. The man knows what he wants and is willing to wait it out. At least he's entertaining. Someone will emerge from the silk road...
