I drink plenty of coffee, you might say too much. Always dark, I been contemplating a vintage expresso machine, I'm a vintage kind of guy. I have a french press, and a drip as well. The go to coffee on the go is the Mcds regular brew, dunking is great but you have to look for one.

During the week a drip coffee maker suffices for my morning cup on the weekends it's my French press or moka pot. I prefer using Dunkin Donuts beans, though I have a friend who's dad is going to open a coffee shop for his retirement job and they roast their own beans and she'll sometimes send a pound or two my way. I'll also buy myself a pound of Kona or a pound of Jamaican Blue Mountain for my birthday.

Ohhh, Blue Mountain.

Drank it strong for breakfast on holiday in Jamaica and had to thin it down with beer by 11 to stop the shaking.

Every Morning! 😀

Rocket Appartamento x Casado E6P for me. Seems lots of people are both coffee and wine enthusiasts!

A good day starts with coffee and ends with wine!

Turkish, all the way for me.
The ad came up below your post and before I noticed that it was an ad, I thought you added a picture.
I was thinking "man, he gives his kids Turkish coffee? They are climbing the walls!" Lol

I bought a Breville Barista Express yesterday afternoon and watched several Youtube videos last night. This morning I am WIDE AWAKE as I dial in dose and grind. I think I'm getting there.

edit (gotta have a pic)

somebody really needs to clean that window.

My daily grind is Bustelo. Makes Great Cuban cafe con leches.
Had to mail order them, but I got some Café Bustelo beans, coarse/percolator grind, and run through the percolator. Just the way I remember it from 1990!

This is new in the house

I was fine with my drip pot but she wanted this guy. It makes a hell of a cup of coffee, but since I don’t do the dairy, I miss out on half the experience. At $1 per pod, I may have to take out a second mortgage.

But look at that crema!

UK version! When you get your set up right it reproduces each & every time - good kit.

New home, kitchen a work in progress.
Left to right…grandson, wife (not an accurate image!) and me. (All too accurate!)

I think next year, I’ll buy a vintage espresso machine to keep the vintage team going. With a uber cool vintage grinder. 🤨

In 2012 one of my friends gave me her parents' long-disused percolator and I was smitten upon the first sip. I'm on my 3rd or 4th example now thanks to the thermostats giving out. I like strong, hot coffee and this fits the bill perfectly. A few months ago I dug out my Braun drip maker that I enjoyed for years for a comparison, and its product was like weak dishwater. For beans I use a medium roast from my local roaster that I enjoy quite a bit and buy in bulk, and I grind them fresh each morning in a Cuisinart burr grinder.

I prefer a French press to a percolator but when I go camping I always pack my old enamelware percolator. There is just something "right" about drinking hot coffee from a percolator by a campfire.

Nespresso pods have been on order for 5 days, down to last 2 which I am saving for the lady.
Always gotta have a back-up stash hiding in the freezer.
