"Hi David,please read our auction listing slowly and then reconsider what you wrote . If your looking for a real Rolex then try our lot # 327 in the same sale .After 21 years in business here we have no intention of knowingly selling fakes regards ,Ronan Clarke ."
Perhaps more shocking than the fake Rolex is the misspelling with “your” and “then”. Maybe the watch is real and the auction site is actually what’s fake.
I don’t think it’s illegal but definitely shady. Rolex style is the part that makes it not illegal but definitely a shady practice as someone is just going to see Rolex and think wow what a deal.
If there was no rolex on the watch itself then legal. Using rolex on watch itself makes it counterfeit.
