A very well-known dealer has this listed as a clamshell case. Is there something I'm missing?

Four screws.

I think the clamshell terminology has become calatrava'd over time.

The case back does have the same general shape as some clamshell cases I've seen, but clearly isn't one. Interesting watch though. I've seen a couple Breitlings with a similar case reference using the same Landeron 42, a pretty uncommon movement.

Let us question the term but not the watch. Handsome beast.

I'm not an expert on these. It's not a redial, right?

Thank you for confirming. 😀

The print looks disaligned here and there, that's why I asked.

It isn’t as crisp as it should be but the print is centered. Hard to tell with busy dial.

At least the "SWISS MADE" is clearly off center to the 180 degrees position, seems to have a different radius, the "SHOCK PROTECTED" looks odd and the "WELSBRO" isn't centered, some fonts appear to be painted by hand and there are overprinted areas on the subdials as well.

I don't know anything about WELSBRO watches, but the dial looks odd.

I actually do like the watch, and seeing "clamshell" in the listing title made me click on it. 😁
