Relatively new to Omega. Had a 165.024 before and this is my second venture. Its a -3 with serial 168xxxxx. Is the serial correct for this exe.? Ordered archive from Omega but no news from them yet. Thanks in advance.

They don't. These were initially black but turned brown due moisture but that wasn't my question.

A request for an Extract will usually be pretty quick denied if Watch Reference and Movement serial don't match, no matter what dial colour:)

My 2914-3 has serial 16.6M and was confirmed by the archive to have been made in January 1959.

I'll bet some would call this a "Tropical Dial" ::love::

Not exactly if you really know how a tropical dial looks like. Its had been misused too often.

Lets just say a tropical dial changes color naturally as they aged. In this case its due to water damaged or other external factor. There are lots of info and discussions about it, just google them.

Interesting. Due to actual water damage or do to the tropical climate it came from?

Could be either or both. Unlike the speedies, I have never seen a true tropical 2914. Could be due to different in paint properties reacting to air , tropical climate etc..

With all do respect, I believe it does matter.
I believe that water damage, would simply be considered a "water damaged dial"
Where as discoloration from life in a tropical climate would be considered tropical?

I'm certainly not the sharpest knife in the box especially when it comes to Railmasters, so please feel free to correct my beliefs.
