I Purchased my 2913-5 about 10 years ago and pretty much just held onto it. It appears that they are quite collectable and I am seeking advice: 1. Is there anything that looks "out of place" from the attached pics; 2. Should I send it to Omega for a "service" and verification; 3. If so does anyone have any advice when sending a vintage watch to Omega; Much appreciated
Bezel is redone H&M hands appear to be replacements Lollipop is incorrect Never send it to Omega for service
Yup - I will take some tomorrow and upload - anything in particular. Apologies I have been out of watch circulation for a while so renewing my interest
All angles are nice. Crown view. Dial without reflections if possible. Bracelet insription. Movement number. welcome and thanks for sharing such a nice vintage example Where are you located?
Dial is refinished. Unfortunately the value is in parts particularly the case and the movement (if correct) and the most valuable parts - a correct vintage bezel and a nice original dial together constitute about 2/3rds of the value of this model.
Thanks All, Its 5am here - so give me a few hours and I will get the pictures requested. Any idea of value as a "whole" rather than in parts as I dont want to "sell off bits"
Ok, Here are quite a few more pics: Appreciate any input on the watch. Apologies but I can only get the movements serial number by opening the watch which I dont want to do right now.
Humm Look like original radium lume was removed and replaced by lume dots at 3,6,9,12 Crown incorrect as is 1067/532 bracelet which is for Seamasters of a later era., notice 1967 date in bracelet.
General advice you'll get here is: Don't send to Omega. Search here for whatever part of the world you're from for recommendations or start a new thread asking for recommendations for whatever part of the world you're from. The watch is missing the two key parts that make these watches desirable. It still has some value, but it won't be anywhere near what you might see complete and original ones going for. If you're looking to sell, don't put anything into it. List it on eBay as a no reserve auction and you will get market price for the parts that have value. If you're not looking to sell, get the movement cleaned up and wear it. Welcome to the forum. Stick around.
Thanks very much. I have quite a few Omega's so will definitely "go deep" on the forum. Its good to be back into watches after a long break
