Dear Esteemed members

I am the new owner of the following watch and had a question which I hope the experts here could help opine on:

https://loupethis.com/auctions/omega-chronograph-33-3-movement-mult-tone-telemeter-dial-18k-yg

In person I believe the dial looks original and untouched, save for the fact that I noted the ‘tachymetre, pulsations and base’ text are raised and behind a white border which seems slightly incongruous with the aging of the rest of the dial, which initially led me to believe a refinishing of these sections.

I have however been reassured that this is a correct and normal feature of such dials and that a quick search online would support this fact. Some pictures of similar dials with the same feature were also provided to me.

Unfortunately the scholarship on this point is scant on the web so I was hoping the collective knowledge on this forum could offer some additional insights. Have provided some pictures which I hope shows this clearly.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Thank you 🙏

Nothing to worry about, these painted ( or enamelled - I'm not sure ) cartouches are absolutely correct. Here on my very similarly dialed 27 CHRO C12.

I think your watch may be a 2393 ref. by the way.
Good point! Details certainly look more consistent with the other 2393 specimens out there.
