FYI: that's a service replacement dial. The S is the wider curvy font of later (mid 60's) dials. Compare it to all the other coat hanger shaped ones in this thread to get an idea of what an original dial looks like.

It's still a nice watch to wear.

 

These are absolutely beautiful! Just out of curiosity...what is the value of one of these honeycomb seamasters with the date at the 6?

 

They sell for between $450 and $850, depending on condition and dial color. Stainless goes for a little more than gold capped, and black dials fetch at least $100 more than white dials. 14K solid gold versions start around $1100 and nice ones go for $1250 - $1450.

 

That's less than I would have thought. I will keep my eyes peeled for a SS or GC black dialed version.
