    Greetings all,
This has probably been covered before but the search feature didn’t yield anything i could find, nor did google.
What does the circled number on the bracelet clasps mean?
    Thanks,
    James

I’ve also seen them with 32 and 12 in circles.

It’s just denotes the run/ tooling used.

In theory if anyone tried to correlate it, you could figure out mfg date.

Is that the run per bracelet? The 1171 marked “11” is on a my 1972 Speedmaster, but I just got a 1958 Seamaster on 3010 BOR marked “32”.

Numbers between different bracelets do not have correlation.

When using dies to punch/stamp metal you mark each die with either a production run or number of the die for that part. As Dies are used they change shape. They can be used to denote a run or if multiple dies in a run are used to QC the run and ID which die has stretched.

Gotcha. Kind of like the matrix numbers in the dead-wax of LP’s which give you the pressing run.
