I was hoping to get positive confirmation from the expertise within the forum that my 145.022 69 ST, serial number 305***** would have come with a step dial, and only a step dial, from the factory. It currently sports a flat dial, and I'm being told that it is, in fact, correct for my vintage.

    Thanks for your insight.

Yes it should definitely have a step dial. Flat is incorrect.

    Photo of said flat dial?

-Does it have the short and open S in Speedmaster?
-Does it have "T SWISS MADE T" at the bottom? (T's are important)

Yes dial is incorrect, as are the hour and minute hands.

Poor photos. I know that the hands are incorrect, as well. I'm going to have to source a set of correct hands, as well as a period step dial. I just wanted to confirm what was necessary to make it all complete.

Are you looking to buy it or do you own it?

I already own it (I have for a few years). I also have an '85 Speedmaster that I wear most days.

The dial's for a 3590.50, mid-1990s, and is way incorrect. Who's telling you it shouldn't be a stepped dial?

Nobody on the forum is telling me this dial is correct. It's someone with just enough experience to have an opinion.

Ah, OK. Thought the seller, or (worse) a watchmaker was giving you that information.

Step dial went through 145.022-74 so there is that...

    Hands massively wrong also.

Yes, thanks. I think the hands are off of a Mk 2 Speedmaster.
