Hi

Please post photos when you can would like to see it as well..

Bill
Just for the record @Bill Sohne and with all due respect, I was a bit surprised to have received no reply to my posting of pictures -- which took me a long time to locate and edit in reply to your request.
I must have spent at least an hour wading into my photobucket account and re-editing them so they could be posted.
Best regards

Thanks much, yes, one exactly like this would be hard to find -- but wasn't @Vitezi's point was more to give the OP a general direction and flavor?

It hasn't occurred to me to pay for a certificate for mine actually, as I had no reason to doubt its overall assessment by very focused collectors on MWR when I found it. I was quite green and didn't exactly know despite searching for months what the unusual "staybrite" marking meant.
Could be an idea at some point though.

Silly question perhaps, how could a 6B/ 159 have been delivered outside of the UK?

PS - thanks @Vitezi for the kind words, by the way.

Not a silly question, my cousin received his Wings in Canada in 1941 and was issued with his watch at that time
flew on until 1945 and was shot down in his Huricane over Eindoven.

I have no problem with the hosting site, I just edited them out myself after several days as people who were interested had had plenty of time to see them and I didn't see a reason to leave them there.
Best regards

Hi All,
This Omega 2292 was sold last night on ebay. Item # 323147882664. Was this a stainless steel version?
Cheers Russell.

No, it's not. First the inside case back is marked "Fond Acier Inoxidable" - (stainless steel back) - which is a sure sign the rest of the case isn't steel but that aluminium based alloy.
Second, if you look up closely the back of lugs on a good computer screen you will see obvious pitting.
Still a good price but the missing case back picture is a bit worrying.

Hi
I asked the seller when the auction was going twice if the mid case was stainless steel. On two occasions he came back and said yes the mid case was stainless steel. But like your assumption and mine the mid case does look like the composite alloy ones. I don't think the outside of the caseback is marked with military markings ? Cheers Russell.

I’m working on a a similar thing for my grandpa. He trained snipers in WWII and I have his flag and I’m working on other related stuff including a watch. Cool
